Supervisor using Supervisor Fatigue Alerts on his mobile

Fatigue Science announces Supervisor Fatigue Alerts, delivering real-time mobile notifications of crew member fatigue

Mobile-first fatigue monitoring tool combines predictive technology with real-time fatigue insights, enabling supervisors to act on critical fatigue from anywhere

Vancouver, BC — June 1, 2021

Fatigue Science, the global leader in providing human fatigue and performance predictive analytics and fatigue management information systems to heavy industry, military, and elite sports teams, is pleased to announce the launch of Supervisor Fatigue Alerts as part of its Readi fatigue management platform.

Developed for mining, heavy industry and military managers, supervisors and crew leaders, Supervisor Fatigue Alerts provides real-time alerts to supervisors when their operators approach critical fatigue levels. Fatigue alerts are delivered directly to their mobile phones, enabling a seamless workflow for supervisors managing complex operations.

Following the launch of Fatigue Intervention Tracking and Fitbit-based Operator Fatigue Alerts on the Readi platform earlier this year, this new functionality enhances the world’s leading Fatigue Management Information System (FMIS). Fatigue Science’s FMIS enables organizations to reduce risk and improve productivity by making fatigue not only visible but quantified and actionable.

“Providing actionable data and real-time visibility into workforce fatigue has always been central to our mission of improving safety and productivity. While predictive analytics and objective fatigue data are at the core of our solution, it is also critical to provide these insights in the right place, at the right time, and to the right audience,” says Robert Higdon, SVP Product & Marketing of Fatigue Science. “With Supervisor Fatigue Alerts, a busy supervisor can now receive the most critical information right on their phone – with real-time notifications about their crew’s fatigue levels.”

Supervisor Fatigue Alerts are based on the ReadiScore, a scientifically-validated predictor of fatigue’s impact on operator reaction time, mental effectiveness, and the likelihood of microsleeps on duty. Many industrial and mining firms along with other complex organizations have long-trusted the ReadiScore and the Readi FMIS for its ability to provide predictive fatigue insights for the entire shift in advance of the shift, and in some cases in advance of the entire two-week shift rotation. Now, Supervisor Fatigue Alerts pair this predictive data and analytics with an equally important real-time awareness and actionable data, enabling supervisors to act on fatigue risks in real-time when they are in the field.

“Time after time, we hear our industrial customers confirm the value of a multifaceted fatigue risk management system. Readi’s predictive analytics and actionable data are game changers, but Readi must also be able to deliver these critical insights front and center where and when they’re needed most for Readi to be a true 360º solution,” adds Andrew Morden, President & CEO of Fatigue Science. “Supervisor Fatigue Alerts adds this critical element to our FMIS, placing real-time awareness of operator fatigue literally into supervisors’ hands. Ultimately, it’s about ensuring supervisors have the tools they need to drive safer and more productive operations.”

Supervisor Fatigue Alerts functionality is available today to all industrial customers of the Readi FMIS.
